Who Is Behind The Books?

Meet The Author K. Steele

From a young age, K. Steele loved stories—reading them, imagining them, and dreaming that one day she’d write her own. Growing up in the small town of Allenstown, New Hampshire, she spent countless hours filling notebooks with ideas and characters that came to life in her imagination.

In middle school, someone once told her she could never write a book. Instead of letting those words stop her, she made it her mission to prove them wrong. Years later, that determination became the heart of her journey as an author.

After graduating from Pembroke Academy, she attended Manchester Community College, where she studied Early Childhood Education and took courses in American Sign Language. Her passion for creativity and learning has always guided her work, both in writing and in life.

When she isn’t writing, you’ll often find her in the kitchen—baking, experimenting with fun drink creations, or trying new foods. She also loves spending time with family and friends and staying involved in her community.

She has proudly been a Special Olympics New Hampshire athlete for 20 years and is an active member of the Loudon Lions Club. She volunteers locally, helping organize events such as the Old Home Day Baking Contest, and serves on the Old Home Day Committee and the Town Recreation Committee.

Special Olympics New Hampshire helped her find her voice—and inspired her to use it to share stories that encourage others never to give up on their dreams. Now, she’s working to create a Leos Club in her town, giving teens the chance to build leadership skills and make a difference in their community—just as she strives to do every day through her books.
